back in 2013 there was a site called “Disneycreate” where you were able to draw, animate, etc. and they advertised it on television with a bumper show called “Game On”
thing is, though, they used 2 animations from the community to air on tv,
one of them being by me, the mouse tied to a balloon, which i completely copied off the main page of Transformice.
meaning, Disney accidentally advertised an image by another platform, on Disney channel
idk if this has to do with the policy regarding, “if it’s on our platform, we can use it without consent” because they aired my animation without asking for permission. which was completely fine by 13 year-old me who just loved the exposure lol
Disneycreate was shut down around April 2014, and the Game On series discontinued after so many episodes. so i’m not really sure if atelier801, the owners of transformice, and disney would really ever butt heads over this, but i’m just glad i was able to find this on the internet after so many years.
found a screenshot i took back in november of 2013 before the site shut down. didn’t know how to save gifs/video at the time, so you can see the faulty coloring and transparent eye from the original animation-maker i used from the site. in addition, here’s the original pic from the Transformice website (got slightly cut off)
and finally, I was able to track down my old Disney Create link! Thanks to whoever saved my sites back on Wayback Machine!

in somewhat relation to the latest defunctland video, felt like once again bringing this up. shoutout and much love to people who’ve archived these websites and continue to do so to this day.
